The starwood record is almost done and it is amazing! We are all so happy with the way it’s coming out…I think you all are going to love it…everyone thinks it is so good that it would be better served on a major label. There has already been some interest in that arena and we haven’t even finished the record yet. So, as soon as we finish recording and get the mix just perfect we are going to shop it around. We’re not sure how long this process is going to take, and we are not going to rush it because we know it will be worth the wait to release it the right way. So keep the troops going in full force! Starwood is bringing something very special to the table. We want to thank all the street teamers that are out beating the Drum for Starwood, your passion is contagious and we can feel your energy everyday while we record. Just knowing you’re out there, and waiting patiently for new Starwood makes us work that much harder in the studio to make this record just for you. So keep the fires burning Starwood is coming!
It's been a while since I posted on here. Sorry bout that. A lot of stuff have been going on and it has been nonstop for me for a while but I would not have it any other way. I finished my bass tracks for the new record and it sounds amazing. I am very proud of the new songs and my playing. Lizzy is in there belting out his vocal tracks right now and it sounds amazing, he is singing better then ever! This will be a great record, it's a labor of love and I can't wait for it to come out. I want to take a min to welcome our new street team members to our growing team, you are doing a great job.. Keep it up, It's really appreciated!! More soon. Keep checking back..
New Starwood-recording begins today.
Confessions of a Dangerous Mind
Girls! Girls! Girls! Rock and roll brings out all the girls; everyone is diving in headfirst.... We have a whole floor to ourselves at the hotel. All the rooms and hallways we're filled with girls last night, and tonight promises to be even better. We we’re invited to the Cathouse of Japan, a place called, ‘the cathouse!’ The club is based on the Hollywood club playing mostly 80’s glam. You have never seen so many people in love with an era in music as in that packed club. As soon as we walked in, the guys who run the club brought me into the DJ both to say a few words over the mic to everyone on the dance floor. I screamed a few things I’m sure no one understood but that did not matter, everyone had a smile on their face screaming and dancing in a drunken haze having the time of their lives like it was New Years Eve. We met a few girls at the cathouse that invited us to a private party and of course we said “where and when”? And they said, “Follow us” and like good little boys…we did…. There were about thirty people there in three different private party rooms with no shoes and no inhabitations. they really have it down in Japan, they pay up front (we we’re free) for all the food you can eat and all the booze you can drink and all the fun you can think of. Then After we we’re done being all we could be…. we realized the sun was not quite up yet so we (a nice size entourage of our new Japanese best friends) headed over to a little club that played nothing but good heavy rock. Just then the dancing on the tables started. In Japan, girls can dance in heels on tables and bars drunk and still have perfect balance. It’s a sight to behold. We found out that that balance did not last very long. We held each other up as we walked chasing the sun back to the hotel with entourage in tow. Another night in Japan not wasted…nah, too easy. The place we’re playing tonight is this very big theater where they’re having a Hair show for the hair color company (Manic panic). Imagine a place with about 300 (beautiful) Japanese models and we’re the band! I will kill you if you ever wake me up!!!!! Tonight’s stage is by far the biggest stage Starwood has ever played. We get to use the catwalk the models did ‘their thing’ on and now it’s our turn. ‘Our thing’ is to mix business with pleasure so we asked some of the hottest models if they would like to come on stage with us during our show. We had the best Marshall stacks ever made! A wall of models! I gotta tell ya, I don’t think I’ve ever had so much fun on stage in my life. I’m not sure I was in tune, but who cares!!! There is a place near our hotel we we’re told is the most crowded intersection in the world. Thousands and thousands of people walk across the street every few minutes. that is to me the perfect place for a Starwood photo shoot! We all fell in love with Japan, when we we’re there we never wanted to leave and when we left we only want to come back as soon as we can get a record out and book a flight. The food, the women, the atmosphere, the unbelievable amount of people getting out of each others way, there is no place like it. As I look this over I realize all I have been talking about has been Girls, Booze and Rock and roll! I think I may have found the answer to the question posed in our song ‘what’s your damage.’ You have to go buy the record to find the question that has obviously been answered on this journey. This band was built for fun and in my opinion we built the perfect fun machine! And Japan is the perfect place to fire that baby up and take it for a spin…this was just a little taste, AND I WANT MORE! We will say goodbye to Japan, for now, but we will be back with a new record and a whole new thirst for all that Japan has to offer. TODAY JAPAN, TOMORROW, THE WORLD!
Greetings from Japan!! We are in Tokyo and we couldn't be more excited. After a 12 hour flight and 2 1/2 hours in Tokyo rush traffic (and I thought LA traffic was bad!!) we have finally settled in at the hotel. Our record label took us out for some unbelievable Sushi, Sake and Japanese Beer at a true authentic Japanese eatery where you had to take off your shoes and sit on the floor, what an awesome first day!! We are all huge fans of the movie "Lost in Translation" and we saw a bunch of the locations they used in the movie, such a blast!! Our first show is in about 11 hours and I hear it's sold out, I can't wait. More to come!!
What Happens in Japan, stay’s in…. ah
screw it, I’ll tell you everything. We can’t wait to spend Halloween in Japan with all of our friends… We’ve been working so hard on the new record that this is going to be a welcome Blast. Tell you all about it when we return….
We’ve been barricaded in our studio in Hollywood California working on new songs for the next Starwood record. We’ve got twenty songs so far and each one is over the top amazing! Making this record is a lot different then the last one, we are really coming together as a band, arranging and re-arranging songs to fit all four of our different personalities. The songs are still coming in fast a furious so we’re holding off on pushing the red button until we hit at least twenty-five songs, then the real problem will come when we have to decide on which ten will make the record. I’m confident we will be finished by the end of the year with a release date early 2006.
Starwood’s first show of the summer
will be Friday June 17th at the old cathouse in Hollywood.
Hey everyone.. The Starwood CD is doing amazingly well all around the world! It’s slowly but surly creeping into the bloodstream and leaving a beautiful stain on the fabric of our rock ‘n roll society. We can't wait to head over to Japan later this year, we’ve been working out the starwood show on the L.A. club scene and Japan’s not gonna know what hit ‘em! There are two new videos just about complete and should be out soon, as well as a 3rd (very wild!) video to start production in a few weeks. Brand New killer songs and much, much more in the works for Starwood, keep checking the site for the latest confirmed items.
Hello all! Don't Forget!! Starwood is playing at "The Vault 350" in Long Beach, CA this Thursday, March 17. Also performing is L.A. Guns, Slaughter and Skid Row. I want to remind everyone to make sure you get there early to catch all four bands and have a great night of rock! After the show me, Joey, Marten and Steals will do a little meet and greet most likely at the merchandise table so come on by and say hi. New fans of Starwood are coming

getting the word out, you guys are true rock fans and friends of
Starwood forever.
Thursday January 27th at club vodka in Hollywood Is Starwood’s very first headlining show! These last couple of weeks have been totally insane! It started with the house of blues (Anaheim) show. This was our best show to date; the band is really starting to come together live. Then we all hit the namm show, a weekend of music madness. We signed autographs and talked to a whole new flock of starwood fans, it was really great to talk first hand and find out how much you really like the new band/record. Thursday January 27th is our very first headlining show! We play club vodka in Hollywood and we want you all to come out and see first hand what this is all about. We’re coming armed and ready with a few surprises and because it’s our show you never know what’s going to happen. For those of you not fortunate enough to be in Hollywood tomorrow night, I wanna tell you we are working on that as I write this. It’s not easy launching a new band, but our management (siren mgnt) is working hard to get this show on the road and show the world what you all are missing. To start off this New Year, starwood is featured in the new Metal edge magazine (motley’s on the cover) we’re in the bands to look for in 2005. It’s a great full-page feature and if you’re curious on the origins of starwood go pick up a copy, it explains a lot. All right that’s about it for now, we will see all you Hollywood freaks Thursday night and I wanna hear you screaming!!!!
"Last night we kicked off our live show at the House of Blues/Hollywood. This show was somewhat of a test-run for many more to come next year. We got off to an amazing start and had a great time on stage, It just gets better and better. We really enjoyed meeting and talking to everybody. Thanks for coming out!!!
Starwood will support the
British rock gods UFO
Nov. 15th – House of Blues Sunset Strip We’re going to play most of the songs from IIABBI as well as a surprise or two. You better get your tickets fast because I have a feeling they wont last long. If it ain’t broke, break it! Has
finally been released in Europe and Japan… Now that the record is out we can focus
on our live show and making videos, both of which are in full swing! We’ve posted our ‘Party
Video’ it’s a fun little thing that we through
together, hope you like it. We start production on our ‘Reel’
video (subculture) next week; it’s a straightforward concept much
like our record, hi energy straight-up rock!
We all had a blast at Joey Scott’s (Secret birthday bash) we ended up playing the whole set –all the songs from ‘If it ain’t broke, break it!’ and a few others live and loud as hell! For those of you that we’re there that was just the tease of what’s to come. And for everyone else we shot a home video of the party and we will post some of it in the very near future. We will be posting some live dates in
the next day or two so keep checking back.
Hello kiddies. Just touching base. We’ve been extremely busy doing interviews for the U.S. release of ‘If it aint broke, break it!’ we’ve been lucky enough to have the press, radio, internet and print (get) this record and have fun with it like they have. It’s been overwhelmingly positive and that is what this is all about. We just want to take a sec and thank everyone in the press for their positive response to this our debut record, it’s been all fun and games so far and we hope it’s contagious spreading throughout the world. Next week we start the European press for the October 4th release of ‘IABBI’ and we really hope they get it like the U.S. has so far, because we are gearing up our live show and I know Europe is ready for Starwood and Starwood is most definitely ready for Europe. Japan is also in our sites with an October 4th release, I will be heading there in early November for a press tour and I can’t wait! I love Japan and I know they will all embrace Starwood, the time is right and the amps are on 10! Lots of other things in the works, At the moment we are finalizing the treatments for the first 2 Starwood videos to be shot back to back. The first video will be for the song ‘subculture’ and the next will be for ‘All my girlfriends have boyfriends’ we should start shooting in about a week and a half and I promise you both video’s will represent what Starwood is all about. As I hinted earlier there is talk of jet setting across the pond for a brief tour, this would be amazing and as we get closer to making this a reality we will post any and all news on that possibility as we go along. We are also very close to some of the most incredible news for live shows in the U.S. if they happen it will be a monumental way to start Live shows for Starwood in the USA. Stay tuned to this site for up to date news, we will post the second anything is confirmed. Until then, I’m back to work on all things Starwood.
I thought it only appropriate that I break
in the new diary section on the day of our first release,’ if it ain’t
broke, break it!’
